Hey there Lonely Girl.
The way you feel is not uncommon. I know what it feels like to be lonely too. The feeling of confusion, hurt, disappointment and the ultimate feeling of flat our rejection. It is never comfortable. It is never easy. It is often hard to explain to others. People may tell you to shake it off, say you are being dramatic or simply not address you at all.
Are you the girl with the biggest smile and the most energy? Are you often trying to fit in to avoid standing out? Are you searching for the approval of others because you are unsure of who you are? Are you simply looking to be seen? Heard? Understood? Are you screaming inside hoping that someone, ANYONE can hear you?
Well guess what. Today you can stop screaming. The reason is simple. God can hear you. God can see you. God want to communicate with you. You are his precious (not in a creepy Lord of the Rings way either). You are his jewel. You are an extension of him. Do you know that you were made in his Image? Your personality is specific to your purpose.
Isaiah 41:10 (NIV) So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
When you feel alone talk to God. Pour out your hearts desires. If you seek friendship or understanding tell God. I prayed for a while that God would send me friendships that would push me closer to Him. It didn’t happen right away.  Although we often want God to move quickly, he moves when he desires to do so. The beautiful thing is when he did bring those friendships to me, they were completely pure. They were positive, raw, kind yet truthful and fun. My friends became by sisters.
If you are seeking companionship or marriage also share that with God. Â Share with him the qualities of the husband you seek. Â Share with Him but do not dwell there. Ask him to prepare you for the desires you seek. Be obedient to the things that he shares with you. Â Trust in his timing.
Know that your time of loneliness is but a season. When you allow God to heal your emptiness you allow God to move in your life. You allow Peace to enter. You allow Joy to Lead. When you allow God to fill your emptiness or loneliness, you allow your life to be changed. When you have a relationship with the Father, there is no lack in your life. Simply rest in the Holy Spirit. It will lead you where God has designed you to go.
Psalm 34:9( ESV)Â Oh, fear the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him have no lack!
